MORNING WORKSHOP

Discover the joy of portraiture. You’ll be gently guided through a range of portrait studies using materials such as graphite, soft pastels, oil pastels, and acrylics. With clear demonstrations and individual support, you’ll explore tone, colour, and expressive mark-making — focusing on character and feeling rather than perfection.
This friendly and welcoming course offers a calm, mindful space to experiment, learn, and develop your own approach to portraiture.

CONTEMPORARY TABLETOP

Take a pause from the week and enjoy a relaxed evening of painting in the cosy setting of the pub. Inspired by the still life paintings of Jane Hooper, this session focuses on everyday objects — flowers, pots, and tabletop arrangements — using a soft, harmonious colour palette.
You’ll be gently guided through the process, with plenty of room to experiment and make the painting your own. The emphasis is on enjoyment, confidence-building, and slowing down — not perfection.

LINOPRINTING

In this workshop, you’ll learn the basics of linocut printing, from creating a simple design to carving your lino block and printing onto a range of quality paper.
You’ll be given inspiration from a range of themes, with the opportunity to develop and extend your own ideas and skills.
Suitable for beginners and those with some experience, this relaxed session is a great chance to experiment, unwind, and leave with a set of unique handmade prints.

KITCHEN COLLAGE
